"And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near." (Hebrews 10:24-25)
Joining a small group is the best way to accomplish our 4L's. Loving one another, living in community, learning from each other and leading others to Christ all take place most effectively within the small group setting. We consider this ministry to be a primary foundation for spiritual growth.
This is what makes Living Grace Church truly unique. Our pastors meet weekly and share quiet time devotions together. Our deacons have quiet time with our pastors and teach our members. Our members meet in a network of small groups and read the Bible and teach one another and sometimes preach. It's truly revolutionary!
We firmly believe in the priesthood of all believers and take seriously the training of laypeople to be good stewards of the Word of God. We give opportunities for all of our members to preach and teach the Bible, with careful wisdom and guidance and correction, if necessary. Our hope and goal is for any and all members to be able to lead family worship services in their homes, and maybe even lead house churches with other people. Should the Church evolve to that type of model in the future, we'll have several trained members that can lead worship and share the Word of God effectively.
